Abstract

A simplified but accurate modeling of linearly piezoelectric thin plates or slender beam are derived by a rigorous study of the asymptotic behavior of a three-dimensional body when some of its dimensions, considered as parameters, tend to zero. The study is carried out by some tools of applied functional analysis like singular perturbations in variational equations.
